🧄🍕 Mrs. Clay’s Cheesy Garlic Pizza Sliders 🍕🧄

Warm, Melty, Crowd-Pleasers Straight From Your Oven

There are nights in our home when I need something fast, comforting, and guaranteed to bring everyone to the table with smiles — and these Cheesy Garlic Pizza Sliders are exactly that kind of recipe.

Soft Hawaiian rolls, melty cheese, garlicky butter, and just a touch of cozy indulgence… it’s the kind of easy weeknight dinner that tastes like you fussed, even when you didn’t.

They’re perfect for busy school nights, game-day snacking, Friday movie nights, or feeding a crowd with almost no effort. My favorite time to serve them? With soup? How yummy they are to compliment a warm bowl of soup and leave satisfied and happy tummies. And the best part? You can customize them in a dozen different ways — meat lovers, veggie, pepperoni, or just fantastically cheesy.

Tonight, we’re going classic with a deliciously simple cheesy garlic version — golden on top, gooey in the center, and ready in under 30 minutes.

🧀 Ingredients

For the Sliders

  • 1 package Hawaiian rolls (12- or 24-count)
  • 1½ cups shredded mozzarella
  • ½ cup shredded provolone (optional but wonderful)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 30–40 slices pepperoni (optional)
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp garlic powder

For the Garlic Butter Topping

  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 2–3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp grated Parmesan
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp garlic salt
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, minced (optional)

🍽️ Instructions

1. Prep

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Lightly grease a 9×13 pan.
  3. Without separating the rolls, slice the Hawaiian rolls horizontally to make a top and bottom “slab.”

2. Build the Sliders

  1. Lay the bottom half in the pan.
  2. Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce over the bread.
  3. Sprinkle with mozzarella, provolone, and Parmesan.
  4. Add pepperoni if desired.
  5. Spread a touch more pizza sauce over the fillings.
  6. Place the top half of the rolls back on.

3. Make the Garlic Butter

  1. Stir together melted butter, garlic, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, garlic salt, and parsley.

4. Finish + Bake

  1. Brush the garlic butter generously over the tops.
  2. Cover loosely with foil and bake 15 minutes.
  3. Remove foil and bake 7–10 minutes more, until golden and melty.

5. Serve

  1. Let rest 5 minutes before cutting.
  2. Serve warm with extra pizza sauce for dipping.

🍕 Tips, Tricks & Variations

Make Them Extra Cheesy

Add a layer of sliced provolone under the mozzarella for that stringy, pizzeria pull.

For Game Day

Keep them warm in a slow cooker on “warm” — they won’t dry out.

Customize Them

  • Pepperoni (classic)
  • Supreme (add sautéed peppers & onions)
  • Meat Lovers (pepperoni, sausage crumbles, ham)
  • Veggie (spinach, mushrooms, roasted red peppers)
  • Kid-Friendly (extra cheese, no sauce inside — serve sauce on the side)

Make-Ahead

Assemble up to 4 hours ahead, cover, refrigerate, and bake when ready.
